Eligible seniors residing in REV\u2019s service regions can now begin applying online<\/a> before the February 11 deadline.<\/p>\n The REV Scholarship program helps students cover college expenses \u2013 including tuition, housing, books, and more\u2014throughout their college years, thereby reducing the financial burden that often accompanies a college education.<\/p>\n \u201cWe are proud and honored to carry on the 42-year legacy of REV\u2019s commitment to education through our local scholarship program,\u201d said Josh Descant, CEO of REV. \u201cBy empowering and investing in the next generation of leaders, we are helping students \u2013 building the foundation for a stronger, brighter future for South Louisiana.\u201d<\/p>\n Since its inception in 1984, the REV academic scholarship program has awarded over $1M in financial assistance to 247 local graduating high school seniors. In 2025, REV expanded the scholarship program to include eligible seniors in all service regions, encouraging more students to apply.<\/p>\n \u201cAs we continue to grow and serve more local communities, we anticipate even more students applying this year,\u201d said Tressy Leindecker, REV\u2019s executive vice president of Sales and Marketing. \u201cOur selection committee does a phenomenal job of reading through numerous applications, interviewing incredible students across our service area, and ultimately selecting the scholarship recipients. Every year, these graduating applicants raise the bar with their academic achievements and dedication to lasting community service.\u201d<\/p>\n Eligibility for REV\u2019s scholarship program is based on several criteria, including being a current REV residential customer in good standing and residing within a REV service area. Additional considerations include cumulative GPA, ACT scores, financial need, demonstrated leadership, and community involvement.
